RIMINI - SAN LEO - CARPEGNA - NOVAFELTRIA - RIMINI
A long and exciting tour along the roads of the cyclist Marco Pantani, also known as "The Pirate."
After crossing the Marecchia Valley and climbing the historic spur of San Leo, mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy, you will reach the ascent where Marco Pantani loved to train: 6km at an average gradient of 9.1%. Pantani used to say to journalists that "the Carpegna is enough for me," and it is almost as though you can still hear him while climbing to the summit of Monte Cippo.
